三宅島エコ・ライドは、
　　三宅島の噴火の歴史やダイナミックな自然と、
　　　　独特の文化をダイレクトに感じる、
　　スローでエコロジーなサイクリング・イベントです。

　　サイクリングだけでなく、
　　溶岩ハイキングやバードウォッチング、ボルダリング、温泉、ヨガ、
　　島の人たちとのビーチクリーニング、植樹活動なども。

　　おいしい魚もたらふく食べられます！

　　今年の夏は三宅島で、一緒に「島走」しませんか？

集合場所：東京・竹芝桟橋(浜松町）
参加費：7500円（三宅島特産原料の天然染めTシャツ付き）

【開催時間】11:00受付開始、13:00スタート
　　　　　（11:00～12:30「自転車学校(*)」開催）

• 自転車学校は小３位～中学生以下と高校生以上～一般に分けて実施

（各15名程度）
【集合場所】神宮外苑銀杏並木
【参加費】500円(EVERYDAY EARTHDAY オリジナルステッカー、保険代等）
【定員】300名

［程よくスローな自転車目線］
東京を自転車で走ると、自然や緑が思った以上に多くて驚かされます。
「点から点」の電車移動では見落としてしまったところが、「線から面」
でどんどん繋がってゆくわくわく感。自動車や電車に比べてついつい寄り
道も多くなってしまうけど、時にはその寄り道が楽しみになったりします。

［自分たちで発見した楽しい「寄り道」を、みんなで走ろう！］
東京アースデイ自転車ライド２００８は「参加者みんなで創るＥＤ'０８」。
2007年10月から行われている毎月の試走会は、みんなで新しい寄り道を試す、
そんなプチ・アースデイライドです。

［そして2008年4月20日に、大勢のマスライドで］
健康にも環境にも優しい「自転車」に乗って、アースデイ＝「地球のことを
考え感謝する日」を思い切り楽しみましょう。とにかくたくさんの人たち
との都心マスライドって、日常を超えて気持ち良い！それが伝われば、都心
の移動手段として自転車がとてもマッチしていることを、周りの多くの人
にも感じてもらえるはずです。

• 東京アースデイ自転車ライドでは、自転車＝車両のひとつという認識から

道路交通法を遵守し、車やオートバイと車道を共有し、譲り合って走ります。

• 信号を守り、並走することなく一列に車道左側端を走り、走行中は追い越し

禁止とします。

• 左折レーンがある交差点で直進する際、左折レーンを直進しますが、左折車

がいる場合は譲ってあげて下さい。

• 各自、自転車をご用意下さい。車種は問いませんが、ブレーキの付いて

いない自転車は参加できません。事前点検をお忘れなく。

• 雨天決行いたします。雨天の場合は、雨用のウエアをご用意下さい。
• レースではありませんが、ヘルメット・グローブの着用をおすすめします。

■TOKYO EARTHDAY BICYCLE RIDE 2008

Come join us celebrate the earth on our annual Earthday Tokyo bicycle 
ride. Enjoy the health and environmental benefits of cycling during our 
16 kilometer route which will go through some famous Tokyo sites such as 
the Imperial Palace, Tokyo Tower, and Jingu-Gaien. You'll view these 
and other areas of Tokyo with new eyes as riding a bicycle refreshes the 
senses so you can better experience the world around you. You'll see 
trees in bloom, meet other friendly cyclists, and feel more connected to

Date: April 20, 2008 (Sun)

Time: Ride starts at 13:00 (registration starts at 11am)

Optional Bicycle Riding Class: We'll be offering bicycle riding 
training classes between 11am and 12:30. There will be two classes: 1) 
3rd grade to junior high school students; and 2) high school students to 
adults. Maximum of 15 persons per class so please come early if you want 
to attend.

Start Place: Gaien-dori in the Jingu-Gaien area (on the street lined 
with ginkgo trees)

Fee: 500 yen (covers insurance as well as an Earthday sticker)

Number of Participants will be capped at 300 so register early. Pre-
registration is required via the earthday site: http://earthdayride.org/

You must provide your own bicycle which must be equipped with brakes 
No cancellation due to rain 
Helmet and gloves are recommended 
Please observe all traffic laws 
Pace will be nice and slow to enjoy the scenery (7 ~ 10kms)
